Dana R. Bucy Miller
Dana R. Bucy Miller is a Maryland attorney whose practice focuses on counseling individuals and business owners on civil and tax matters. She prides herself on excellent client communication skills and utilizing a collaborative approach. She works with clients to generate creative solutions and evaluate all options to achieve the best outcome. She has experience drafting contracts and negotiating terms, mediating disputes, conducting discovery, advising on the tax implications of transactions, and performing estate accountings. She is also committed to providing pro bono assistance through the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service and counseling start-up nonprofit groups.
Dana graduated summa cum laude from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts and dual majors in Psychology and Politics, Law, and Society. She received her J.D., cum laude, from American University Washington College of Law in 2011. During law school, Dana was a senior staff member of the American University International Law Review, a founding member and inaugural editor-in-chief of the American University Arbitration Brief, and a competing member of the Society for Dispute Resolution. Dana also received her Master of Law in Taxation from the University of Baltimore in 2015.
Dana currently serves as an adjunct at American, coaching teams for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society. She is a member of both the MSBA and ABA Sections of Taxation, and is always seeking to further explore the law through research and writing. Prior to founding DM Law, LLC, Dana worked as a legal editor, a project manager for large scale litigation discovery, and as an associate and supervising attorney at a mid-size Baltimore area firm.
