Scholarship Information

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for one of the DM Law Trademark Scholarships: - You must already have a business and know what you want to trademark - You must not already have a trademark or have attempted to trademark the proposed mark yourself - Must reside in the United States - Must have annual business revenue under $20,000

What does the scholarship cover?

The scholarship covers all of the attorney fees associated with conducting the trademark search, preparing the application, and prosecuting the mark. The scholarship does not cover the filing fees ($225-275 per class) or fees associated with any opposition proceedings in the event that they occur.

How are scholarships awarded?

Scholarships will be awarded based on a review of applications submitted. DM Law will award up to six scholarships per year. The upcoming scholarship deadlines are: November 1, 2017 December 1, 2017 For 2018, the scholarship deadlines are: February 1, 2018 April 1, 2018 June 1, 2018 August 1, 2018 October 1, 2018 December 1, 2018 Applications will be considered for a period of one year from when they are submitted. There is no need to resubmit unless your circumstances change.

How will I be notified if I receive a scholarship?

We will notify you by email if you are awarded a scholarship and provide information about our next steps.

What if I don't receive a scholarhsip?
